Last week we launched the podcast, and it's already had such a phenomenal reception, and so many of you have reached out to me to say how much you enjoyed it. And I'm just so grateful that you're here, and I'm so grateful to be doing this, and I just feel so excited. It's been like a whole new lease of life for me actually starting this. I'm so excited. It's going to be Manifesting Mondays, and every Monday, I'm going to be in there live, chatting about tools, techniques, strategies to make your manifestations come true. What I want to talk about today is the number one reason you haven't manifested your big dream yet or the number one block that most people experience that stops them from manifesting their big dreams. And it's really connected to why I started the Manifesting Monday thing, because the number one reason let's just get it out here is you will lose faith in the process. And that is the number one reason we lose faith. And so I am starting this Manifesting Monday thing on the Instagram to support you so that you don't lose faith, so that every Monday you can just plug in and keep your faith level high even when it feels ridiculous. Because let's talk about this. Why is this the number one reason you won't manifest your dream? As we talked about last week, manifestation is actually quite simple. And the truth is, you're manifesting all the time, and it works 100% of the time.
Diane Bell [00:02:22]:
And some of us will be like, well, maybe it works for other people, but it doesn't work for me. I'm always like when I hear that. I know you're a special person. You're unique, you're beautiful, you're incredible, but you are not impervious to universal laws. And basically, when we're talking about intentional manifestation, we're talking about harnessing universal laws to create the results that we desire. So these are universal laws. That's like the law of gravity. There's no sort of exception to it.
Diane Bell [00:02:50]:
It's not like, oh, maybe this glass won't be prone to gravity. Maybe this pen that I'm holding won't be affected by gravity. No, every single thing in the world is affected by gravity. There's no exception. And it's the same when it comes to intentional manifestation. There is no exceptions. We are harnessing universal laws to create the outcomes that you want, and there is no exceptions. That means you're not that different.
Diane Bell [00:03:14]:
If it's not working, it's because you are not harnessing them correctly or you're somehow focused on the wrong things. And as I said, the number one reason that I see that people don't manifest what they want is the loss of faith. Now, what this looks like is quite often people get this idea, and we've all done this at some point, we decide that we want certain result in our life, whatever it is. Maybe we've decided we want to earn a certain amount of money, or we want to hit a certain weight goal, or we want to get a certain kind of job or a certain kind of career result. We're going to make a movie or publish a book or whatever it is. And we have this big dream, and it's like, that's what I want. That's the mountain that I want to climb. That's the result that I want to attain.
Diane Bell [00:03:59]:
And it's really exciting. And we decide we're going to go all in on this. We're going to throw everything at it so we might know about manifestation, and we start to do the things that we learn to do. We create a vision board, and we're doing our affirmations, and we're meditating, and we're chanting, and we're going to sleep listening to ourselves saying the affirmations. I am a best selling author. I am a multimillionaire. I am happily married. I am my dream weight.
Diane Bell [00:04:25]:
And I look exactly and feel exactly how I desire to feel. And we're doing all these things, but what typically happens is that within a certain amount of time, it's not working. We're not getting the results. We're not seeing any change. It's like, I'm a money magnet. I'm a money magnet. I'm a money magnet. Let me check my bank account.
Diane Bell [00:04:45]:
Oh, my gosh, there's no money in my account. We're like, this isn't working. And we start to feel bad because the fact that it's not working makes us feel sad. It makes us feel angry. It makes us feel frustrated. It makes us feel like this isn't fair and it's not working. Like, I was kind of an idiot, maybe for thinking that it would work. Who has done this before? Because I think all of us have been there at least once that we've set a big goal, gone after it.
Diane Bell [00:05:13]:
And then when it's not working, we start to just feel like and then we unplug our faith. We start to doubt our capacity, our ability to actually make this result happen. And then we start to not do the things that would actually get us there. We're just like, oh, well, screw it. Maybe it's not for me. Sometimes we even play that game where we pretend that we didn't even really want it anyway. It doesn't matter. Doesn't matter.
Diane Bell [00:05:37]:
Didn't really want that. It's no big deal. It's not meant for me. It's fine. So this unplugging of faith, why is it so important to maintain faith in the process? To me, faith is like the heat in the oven that bakes the cake. And let's imagine for a moment that you want to bake a cake. You really want to eat a cake. And so you mix all the ingredients together, and you're like, I'm so excited.
Diane Bell [00:06:02]:
This is going to be such a great cake. But the one thing your recipe doesn't tell you is how long that cake is going to bake, right? So you've got this amazing recipe. You follow alto t you pop it in the oven, but it doesn't tell you how long the cake will take to bake. So you put it in the oven and you check the temperature. It's 200 degrees. Perfect. And now you're like, okay, let's go. And within five minutes, you're like, I wonder if my cake is baked.
Diane Bell [00:06:25]:
You're all excited. You're like, I can't wait to eat my cake. This is going to be so good. I know. This is going to be so delicious. Let me check. So you open the oven, you take the cake out, and it's still a gooey mess, right? Like, dang, okay, put it back in the oven. And then we're like, okay, another five minutes.
Diane Bell [00:06:39]:
I'll just have another a little look. Let's see if it's baked. Take it out. Still a gooey mess. You're like, Dang, I thought my cake would be baked a little bit by now, right? So you put it back in the oven, wait another five minutes to bring it out. Now you're getting a little fed up. You're like, come on, man, this is ridiculous. My cake should be baked.
Diane Bell [00:06:54]:
This is not good. And now you start to doubt the recipe. Maybe that wasn't a good recipe. Maybe that recipe doesn't work. Maybe you miss something. Maybe something's not working. Maybe something's not right about it. And so now you're just like, screw it.
Diane Bell [00:07:07]:
I'm turning off the oven. There's no point. Now, as we all know, a cake takes an hour to bake. Or some of us might know some of us might know about that, but on average, a cake takes an hour to bake, right? And so if you keep checking the cake before that, it's not going to bake. It's not going to be baked. It's just not baked until it's baked, right? There's a moment, and it's really fascinating, right? There's a moment up until which it is a gooey mess, and then there's a moment at which it crosses the line and actually becomes a cake. And until that moment, you've got a gooey mess. And this is exactly what it's like with our manifestations.
Diane Bell [00:07:41]:
You desire something, you get the recipe for it, right? You're like, okay, I'm going to do the affirmations, I'm going to do the visualizations, I'm going to do all the things. I'm going to stay in the vibe. I'm going to do these meditations. I'm going to do all these things. And then, though you're looking for evidence, you're like, Is it working? I've been doing this for five minutes. Where's the evidence that this is working? And there's none. You're like, I can't see any evidence. And so you start to doubt.
Diane Bell [00:08:04]:
But the problem is, the cake has to stay in the oven for a whole hour without being touched, without being doubted, without it being pulled in and out every five minutes, it's got to be left in that oven and it will bake. It's inevitable that it'll bake if you leave it in the oven. And it's the same with this. If you are doing all the things for manifestation and you just keep your faith high, you just know that even if you can't see evidence yet, even if there's no proof that it's working yet, even if you can't see a damn thing, that would tell you that this is actually going to happen for you. You keep the faith. And your faith is what is going to be like the heat in the oven, baking that cake, and you're going to manifest what you desire. But so many of us have that cake in the oven, and we're checking, and we're checking, and we're checking and we're checking, and then we're just leaving the oven door open because we're like, oh, I don't even believe this. Let me just leave it open so I can watch it.
Diane Bell [00:08:56]:
And of course, it's not baking. And this is exactly what we do. You're not going to manifest your desires if you keep checking for results, checking for evidence, and then allowing the evidence to create doubt in your mind. Because let's be honest, the energy of doubt is connected to the energy of fear. And I think about this a lot, but there's essentially two energies in the world when we boil it down to the most basic form. There's two. There's love and there's fear. Now, manifesting our dreams is all in the frequency of love.
Diane Bell [00:09:33]:
It is never in the frequency of fear. So fear is also the frequency of lack. It's the frequency of doubt. It's the frequency of suspicion. It's the frequency of scarcity. Whereas love is the frequency of abundance. It's the frequency of miracles. It's the frequency of light.
Diane Bell [00:09:51]:
It's the frequency of amazing things happening. So the energy that you are predominantly in is going to determine the kinds of results that you are attracting to you. If your predominant energy is one of doubt, it is one of fear. It is highly unlikely that you are going to manifest wonderful things. Now, let's be honest, at the end of the day, manifestation is not really about what you do. It's about who you're being. And this is such an important thing to understand because many of us, we hear about manifestation and we say, right, I want to learn how to manifest things. This sounds cool, like, I could manifest anything I want.
Diane Bell [00:10:27]:
Great, sign me up and we start learning. What do I need to do? Tell me what I need to do. Okay, visualizations. Create a vision board. Let me do it. Listen to affirmations. I'm going to do it. Journal every day.
Diane Bell [00:10:38]:
I'm going to do it. I'm going to do all the things. I'm going to do the things. And now we're doing all the things. But really, it's not about the doing the exercises that you're going to learn about in this podcast and that you've probably learned about in other places already and that you can add to your routine and that will help you. The point of these exercises isn't about the doing. And I say this all the time to my clients and my students. We are not aiming to be like, good students here.
Diane Bell [00:11:05]:
Like, let me just do my homework, my manifestation homework. I got to gaze at my vision board for five minutes. Okay, done it. Time up. Let's move on to the next thing. Okay, I got to do my journaling. I got to write out my desires ten times now. Okay? I'm going to do my gratitude list.
Diane Bell [00:11:18]:
I promise myself I'm going to do a gratitude list. So I'm going to do okay. I'm grateful for the sagai. I'm grateful for my husband. I'm grateful for my health. La la. And we've got no feeling in it. And honestly, that is a complete waste of time.
Diane Bell [00:11:33]:
Now, even worse than that is if you're doing those things and actually they're causing you some level of stress. And I had an interaction with somebody on Instagram this week who wrote to me about this, and she was saying, to be honest, I really tried to make manifestation work, and I spent six months really trying to make it work, but it ended up stressing me out because it wasn't working. And it was so hard to try to maintain faith when it just wasn't working. And I was like, Listen, hon, the fact is, manifestation is simple. You got to feel good. It's really as simple as that. If you feel good, if you're in the energy of love, you will be attracting good things to you. But if you're in the energy of it's not working, if you're in the energy of stress, if you're in the energy of anxiety, you're not going to be attracting any good things to you.
Diane Bell [00:12:18]:
And it's as simple as that. It doesn't matter how many affirmations you chant. It doesn't matter how many times you're looking at your visual board or how many gratitude lists you're writing, if you're not in the energy of love, you are not going to be attracting good things to you. And so these things that we can teach, these tools, these techniques, these strategies, these actionable things, these are wonderful, but the whole point of them is to help you access a better vibe. Let's just sum it up, right? The reason you write a gratitude list isn't so that you just sit and write the list and you're like, okay, I did my gratitude list today. Move on. It's so that you can actually generate the feeling of gratitude in your body right now as I'm speaking. Can you allow yourself to feel grateful for something in your life? Can you think of one thing that you are so freaking grateful for? Whether it's a relationship, whether it's a house you're living in, whether it's the water that flows from your taps, it can be such a simple thing.
Diane Bell [00:13:14]:
Whether it's the way the sun is shining in the sky today, it doesn't matter. But can you think of one thing right now and let yourself feel unadulterated gratitude for it? Because when you let yourself wash with that gratitude, it's just like you feel it in your body. The feeling is what the universe is responding to. Your feeling is your frequency. And so the tools are really just ways to create the feeling. A vision board is pointless unless you're actually looking at it and feeling the feeling of those things being yours, right? If you're looking at a vision board and you're looking at an image and it's like, oh, my God. Imagine if that imagine if that was mine. Imagine if that was my truth.
Diane Bell [00:13:50]:
Imagine if that was the view that I was looking at every day. Imagine if that was the car that I was driving. Imagine if that was my job. Imagine if that was my home. Imagine if that was my vacation. Oh, my God, it's so great. It's so exciting and it's putting you into a good feeling. It's exciting you.
Diane Bell [00:14:03]:
It's uplifting you. It's making you feel all buzzed and tingly and excited. This is how your man manifesting. But if you're looking at your vision board like, oh God, I'm looking at my vision board and I just feel so sad because those things are so far away from me and I don't know if I'm ever going to get them. But I'm looking at my vision board, so I'm doing it. And this should work. Everybody says that if you look at your vision board for at least five minutes every day, it's really going to help you get what you want. But I don't know.
Diane Bell [00:14:26]:
I just don't feel it. If you're not feeling it, you're not feeling it. It's not going to do a darn thing. So how do we stay in faith when we have no evidence and this really is the million dollar question of Manifestation, I think because, as I said, the number one reason you won't manifest what you want is because you will unplug your faith. It's because you will stop having faith in the process, you will start to go, wait, this isn't working. How can you keep your faith high? One way that I believe you can really do this is by plugging into podcasts like this, plugging into my Instagram account and joining me for Manifestation Mondays, plugging into other people who have strong belief. My teacher, Tignat Han, the Zen Master, who is just the most incredible human, he used to say this thing, and it's something I really carry in this life. He said it's easier to reach the ocean as part of a river than as a single drop of water.
Diane Bell [00:15:25]:
Now, for many of us in mainstream society, you're going to be surrounded with people who really doubt your power to manifest crazy good results. Let's be honest. Often Manifestation does have a part of it which is a little bit delusional to outside people. I was certainly like this when I was trying to sell my first script, for instance. I think a lot of my friends thought it was crazy. You're never going to sell your script, right? This girl is nuts. But I believed in it. I just believed in it.
Diane Bell [00:15:52]:
I believed in it so hard that I was willing to do anything. I mean, or anything out of integrity or out of alignment, but anything, even the most uncomfortable things, the most difficult things, the most challenging things, I was willing to go there because I was like, I am going to sell the script and I believe in it. Even if everybody else is telling me it's impossible that it will never happen. I believe in it and I'm going to keep my faith. And I did hold my faith and that's what made it happen. Now, as I say, though, many of us will be surrounded by people that doubt us. So find your tribe, connect with your tribe. And honestly, this is so much of why I do what I do.
Diane Bell [00:16:26]:

In that group, we believe and we support each other. So finding a tribe, finding like minded people, that is definitely one way that you can keep the faith even when you're not getting evidence.
Diane Bell [00:16:57]:
The second way that you can keep faith when you're not getting evidence is to remind yourself of the power of the compound effect. Simply put, the compound effect states that small things applied over long periods of time create massive results. And this is absolutely true. And the weird thing about the compound effect is there's like nothing changing, nothing changing, nothing changing. And then whoosh and what tends to happen for most of us is we discount and forget about the compound effect and we unplug our faith way before we see the results. So a very simple way to understand the compound effect or to see the power of it, is this example where I say to you, would you rather have $1 doubled every day for a month or a million dollars? And you have a think about it. If you know the answer to this, if you've done this before, you know, you're like, give me the dollar. But some of you might be like, I don't know, I think I'd rather have a million dollars.
Diane Bell [00:17:52]:
Because let's think about this so roughly, and I'm not great at math, so I'm going to round these numbers up, but let's just look at it. So week one, first day, $1. 2nd day two, third day four, fifth day, no. Fourth day eight, fifth day, 16, 32, 64. So by the end of the week, you got $64. And let's be honest, if you had your friend took a million dollars and you took the dollar double, you're kind of feeling like an idiot right now, right? It's the end of the week and you're like, oh my God, I've got $64. My friend has a million dollars. I took the wrong thing.
Diane Bell [00:18:23]:
Second week, $128, $260. Now I say I'm just going to round these up, right, to make it easy for myself. 521,040, 2080, 4000, 208,400. I mean, you're just like, oh my God, I've got $8,000.02 weeks into this. I'm more than halfway into this and I've got $8,000 and I could have had a million. You see that? It's like you had the choice, a million dollars or a dollar double. Today, halfway in, you've got 8000. Now, right now you would be well within your rights to be like, I messed up, I screwed up.
Diane Bell [00:18:58]:
Screw this. I don't even want it. Whatever, walk away. Well, let's look at what happens in week three. Now you have like 16,000, then 34,060, 8000, 128,000, or 140,000. Actually close to 280,000, 560,000. Wait a second. Now we're going over a million.
Diane Bell [00:19:17]:
So at the end of week three, we have crossed the million dollar mark. Interesting, right? So now you're like, oh, maybe this wasn't so bad. So for at least half the time you were like way underscoring. But now suddenly you've caught up. And then look at what happens in week four with this example of a dollar doubled every day. Now we're up to like 2.2 million, 4.4 million, 8.8 million, 16 point over 16 million, over 32 million, over 64 million. Yes. By the end of the month, you're in the $128,000,000 range.
Diane Bell [00:19:55]:
So which was the better one? Now you see the compound effect, that for at least half the time, though, there was no evidence that this was working. In fact, it's well into the third week. It's actually the 21st day that it starts to make sense. Until then, you are way underperforming. You are not getting good results and you are not getting evidence that this is going to work. In fact, what you're seeing is just sort of like I mean, the first week is awful. So if we apply this to our manifestations and we're going after big dreams, we're doing things, we're putting in effort, and we're not seeing the results, but our results are quietly, secretly compounding. This is the way it works energetically.
Diane Bell [00:20:37]:
And so when we understand the compound effect and we really just immerse ourselves in that so that we stop doubting it, we know that every day we stay in faith, every day we take another step towards our dream. Every day that we stay in alignment with our soul's purpose, it's adding up. It's all adding up. And if you haven't manifested what you want, it's because it hasn't come yet. It's not that it's not coming, it's just that you haven't manifested it yet, but it's coming. It can not come. This is universal law. So I hope this episode has been helpful for you.
