Day 1:
You're not stuck because you lack talent. In this session we look at the five patterns that keep writers circling their screenplay, work out which one is yours, and then you make one real writing appointment you can keep this week. Bring the screenplay you’ve been carrying and a pen.
Day 2:
When a story feels flat or impossible to plot, the answer is often not a better outline.  It’s knowing the people in it more deeply.  Today you’ll meet one of your characters in a new way, and leave with something you didn’t know about them and a scene you can write.
Day 3:Â
Finishing isn’t a personality trait.  It’s a set of choices, conditions and commitments that anyone can create.  We’ll talk honestly about what writers who finish do differently, how to make it work around real life, and what it takes to have a draft by New Year’s.
UPGRADE TO VIP
Lifetime access to the videos.
Live Q+A with Diane on Tuesday October 26 @1pm Eastern. Â
All your questions answered.
I’ve taught writers since 2014, and I’m in this with you.
I just wrote THE END on my newest script. Despite all my experience (I used to write 3-4 scripts a year), I was paralyzed with fear when I started this one - fear I wasn't good enough and fear that it would be a waste of time. That's why when I reached THE END it was so emotional. I hadn't got rid of the fear- but I'd written my script anyway, and fallen in with love with the process again.
If you're ready to fall in love with the process and get your script out of your head and onto the page, you're in the right place. See you soon.
